Parintins
| Parintins lies along the right bank of the Amazon on an
island. Since the river has created this area, it is the principal
means of access. You can expect to see boats of every size and
variety. They have the Boi-Bumba festival, at the end of June and is
said to be second only to Carnival in Rio.
There was lots of shopping available, but we weren't allowed to bring back anything made of wood, seeds or nuts. That didn't allow for many souvenirs.
