Grenada
|
Grenada is at the bottom of the Windward chain of islands, but it is one of the most diverse islands with long, sandy beaches, rolling countryside and lush rain forest terrain. It’s perfect for agriculture, yielding more spices per acre than anywhere else in the world. I bought some spices to bring home. The island has electricity and telephones, but the lack of rivers has made water a valuable resource, and all homes have a storage tank to collect rainwater running off the roof. |
Isla Marguerita ( An island off Venezuela)
| This island is located just off the coast of Venezuela and features white-sand beaches, mountains and a fascinating history. Today it’s a well-known tourist haven. Just off the dock are many stalls for wonderful inexpensive shopping. There is also a beach there, and lots of folks gave it a try. |
